Varun and
Deepti Batra are an urban, working couple from Mumbai, who`ve now met with the
realization that they need to have a kid before it`s too late. Little do they
know that on this reproductive journey, their fates would get tied with another
couple - Honey and Monika Batra. Loud, garish landowners from Chandigarh, this
couple are a complete contrast to Varun and Deepti. Their clash leads to
hilarious, often ridiculous situations.

to the makers for making such an inspiring film which talks about IVF and
pregnancy n through that it gives a strong message and knowledge to the
audience One of the best films coming out this year Akshay kumar
gave an outstanding performance and shines throughout the film. The one
scene sequence in climax where you break down emotionally, truly got me goose
bumps, Kareena Kapoor gave a brilliant performance and it felt good to see her
after so long on screen She has her own space in the film n she nails every
scene of it like a true rock star She has done a commendable job in a
monologue, absolutely amazing Diljit you're a true rock star and you showed it
in the film. You've given a hilarious yet fantastic performance.
The newbie
director, Raj Mehta, however, does well in keeping the film short and succinct,
switching scenes before things get monotony sets in. He gets the flavor right
and can safely be put on the list of directors to watch out for. An urbane
comedy with the fresh subject of a pregnancy, Good Newwz may well be
the family entertainer that city slickers opt for this weekend.
